Can't See the Forest for the Trees

This is a plein air oil painting on a panel that was done right outside our cabin in the woods. I wanted to capture the beauty and serenity of the forest. It was mostly painted in one morning. But the next morning the sunlight on the tress beckoned me back and I added the light. I felt that made the painting pop!
