These three Ribbon Leaf Maples grew in a park near my house in the Pacific Northwest. I take students to this park to paint every spring, summer, and fall. When these trees turn color in the fall, they are spectacular. Unfortunately, an ice storm has since wiped them out and they have been replaced with evergreen shrubs. I'm so glad I was able to capture them in this pastel painting while they were in their glory.
