Warm light gliding across these hay bales catch the tips of a little chicken huddle before landing on the ground. Cool ambient light from the sky contrasts the movement and reveals itself as bluer shapes on the cold snow. This was a painting waiting to happen and the event actually took place in a small buffalo field. Unusual for my Appalachian home in Tennessee.
