Viola Jimulla was Chieftess of the Yavapai Apache Tribe from 1940-1966. Known for her great strength of character, her integrity and honesty, she was a beloved leader of the tribe as well as a renowned basketmaker. Her portrait is a humble way to express the gentle ways of this great Chieftess.
