Rosey ("Where's the Beef?")

Heading outdoors for plein air painting, lunch in tow, Rosey followed close behind. She must have smelled the frozen corned beef and frozen pita bread in my bag, because when I set it on the ground for a few minutes, she managed to shove her whole head inside. When I called her name, she came out of the bag with the frozen pita bread stuck between her teeth, as if her lips were frozen shut. She had one ear up and one down, and had the most puzzling expression, as if to say "Where's the beef?" I caught a quick picture of her expression, and after spending the day outdoors, painted this small piece alla prima.
