Afternoon Squall is an oil on panel painting that I just recently completed. Partly painted from plein air studies, memory and photo references, it depicts a storm my brother and I foolishly sailed into years ago of the coast of Virginia. We were fortunately rescue by the Coast Guard! I hope to recreate the intensity of nature's power and the fear it inspires in those who challenge it.
