Song of summer was inspired by a summer monsoon storm that came across Arizona. I redesigned the foreground as I wanted to portray a different feel, a more lush look and sense of peacefulness, adding the touch of water in the foreground to pull the sky color down. It was an amazing cloud to see in person, painting it was fascinating and pure joy. This piece is done in oils.
