The Fable of the Yellow-rumped Warbler

This work was created from my field sketches. I observed these Warblers at home and during my hikes as they fed on the seeds of our Laurel Sumac in November and December of the year 2021. Although this drawing is based on my extensive observations of actual Yellow-rumped Warblers in Topanga Canyon, this artwork combines elements of representational drawing with decorative design for a purpose of narrating a beautiful visual story about wildlife in Topanga Canyon.
