The Story of Anna

Anna’s life story is breathtaking. Born in a remote village in Hyderabad, India, she was sold into a child trafficking ring as an infant. Her adopted American mother risked life and limb to rescue her from the corrupt system when she was 2 yeas-old. Today Anna is pursuing a master's degree in New York City.

The placement of her face in the shadow, transitioning into the light, symbolized her life-changing experience. The beautiful kimono was carefully implemented with colors and values to describe the texture and folds of the silk fabric, and turning forms underneath the kimono.
