Walking on Water

I created Walking on Water while in an Artist in Residence program at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute. I had committed to painting a different painting everyday and had left my RV early to scope out my next subject. While jumping over a small brook, in the crisp early dawn light I noticed the floating autumn leaves and was struck by the curvature of the water, similar to the water bend created by a water spider.
