The model of this pastel painting is my friend Mr. P, who visits every day and lays on the deck with my dogs enjoying the breeze and the views in perfect harmony. The 23kt gold leaf branches he is standing on, represent his throne, they form a heart, in the background is Catalina Island. Here in my neighborhood of Portuguese Bend in RPV California, there are many peacocks roaming free. I love Mr. P.
