This painting was inspired while walking on a late winter's day. The brilliant sunshine coming through the trees and creating patterns of light and shadow on the snowy ground. I painted this in studio using my photo as reference. Pastel on rising museum board treated with a pastel ground and then used various hard and soft pastels.
