One of my many trips to Catalina Island, during Plein Air Painters of America annual paint out, this magnificent tree stood strong in the morning light! With it strength that I felt, I also wanted to capture the power of the morning light on this Giant, on the ground and the shadows that lead the eye to enjoy this beauty!! Eucs should be the California Tree. They were introduced to California during the Gold Rush, by Australians, in the 1850s.
